Twenty-five years of Emergency in concert between satire and solidarity
Milan. June 29, 2019.
The civic arena welcomed a great concert dedicated to Emergency and its 25 years of activity. Emergency is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that offers free care in countries affected by health emergencies caused by conflict, poverty or natural disasters.
Many guests participated in this night of solidarity: Luca Barbarossa, Daniele Silvestri, Nada, Nina Zilli, The Third Secret of Satire, Chiara Galiazzo, Paolo Rossi, the Stato Sociale group, Nino Colonna and of course, the founder of Emergency, Gino Strada, who was interviewed by Luca Bottura.
Gino Strada proposes the construction of a psychiatric hospital for the world’s political leaders and tells of these twenty – five years: “We must know how to continue to resist. Intensify the practices of peace, solidarity. Do not give space to all lies, slanders. We live in an increasingly selfish society. And more and more empty. Empty of culture, empty of spirituality, empty of education. On the other hand, a form of civic resistance is being born. There are millions of people working to help others”.
