Fawn & Triathlon – this combination has long been a household name. From the 20th to the 23rd of June professionals and many amateur athletes will meet each other. The “Kronen Zeitung” presents the sporting event.

The relay triathlon for companies, friends and clubs, which was held for the first time last year, was already popular at its premiere and was a complete success. “But this year it will be supplemented by another highlight: Waris Dirie – supermodel, human rights activist and bestselling author (“Desert Flower”) – invites you to a special challenge,” says chief organizer Wolfgang Fuchs.

Part of the entry fee for “Desert Flower School”
You can compete in the team competition against the “Desert Flower Team Triathlon”. Waris Dirie says: “I’m not only interested in winning, but in participation and, of course, in the good cause.“

The plan is to use part of the entry fee to finance another “Desert Flower School” for around 400 girls in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

Something for everyone
The highlight of the long triathlon weekend is the team competition for companies and friends, that is for everyone. The distances are deliberately chosen so that they are feasible for all participants: a 250 meters swimming, a 12 kilometers cycling and a 3.3 kilometers running track.

The three competitions will be split into teams. The teams can be colorful. However, a record could possibly have already fallen before the first starting shot: The district hospital Kufstein has already registered 22 teams for the triathlon.
