The 7th Edition of the International Award, ‘A Friendly Hand’ Prize in Calabritto goes to WWF and Emergency

The seventh edition of the International Award “A helping hand”, will be awarded in Calabritto on August 31st at 7:00 pm. The event is dedicated to those who work in the world of solidarity and volunteering and to those who have distinguished themselves for humanitarian acts.

The event is promoted by the association Anpas “Aurora” of Calabritto and the local periodical “Lu Bannaiuolu”, in collaboration with the association “Alta Irpinia Lioni”.

This year the national and international awards will go respectively to WWF Italy, for their commitment to protecting the environment and the plastic free beaches campaign; and to Emergency, for the 25 years of activity in the world with particular mention for the founder, Gino Strada.

Civil, military and religious authorities will attending the ceremony. A final greeting by the bishop of the diocese of Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi, Monsignor Pasquale Cascio, is expected. Voluntary associations from Campania, Basilicata, Lazio will participate as well.

After the certificates and the prizes are delivered to the associations in the Award Ceremony, there will be a concert from 21:00, and free tasting of Calabritto shots.
