Gino Strada is among the guests of Che Storia è la musica, the event show of Ezio Bosso aired on Sunday 9 June 2019. Three and a half hours of music and entertainment with the Italian pianist and composer ready to give the Italian public an unprecedented show. An evening of music, entertainment, but also sharing with the participation of many guests: from Luca Bizzarri to journalist Enrico Mentana, from Nicoletta Mantovani to Roby and Alessandra Facchinetti, from Alfonso Signorini to rugby player Andrea Lo Cicero. And again: Anna Tifu, Andrea Zanotti and the Sosat Choir. The long list also includes Gino Strada, doctor who founded the Italian NGO Emergency doctor with his wife Teresa Sarti. At Il Manifesto Strada he told the first 25 years of Emergency: “they have been 25 useful years. Useful to many people because we have treated more than 10 million in the world. But they have also been useful to us: we have learned so much. Not only things of medicine and surgery but also things about war and the world, about ourselves”.

Gino Strada: Emergency and the war
The Italian activist and philanthropist Gino Strada spoke not only of Emergency, the NGO founded with his wife Teresa Sarti, but also of the climate of hatred and war that pervades the world. At Il Manifesto he made a very precise analysis of what is happening in the world: “we should start studying how Europe was at the end of the war. I imagine a gloomy and ghostly environment, crossed by millions of people looking for something to eat, to cover themselves with. This was the Europe of the first post-war period”.

Gino Strada and Matteo Salvini: “shocking proposal”
The founder of Emergency has also commented on the security decree proposed by Matteo Salvini. It is a decree that would introduce the payment of a fine for those who save lives at sea. “This proposal is hallucinating” – thundering Road which goes on to say: “it is the fruit of this climate: we are already in this new form of fascism, that will not appear in the same terms as the previous time but will not be less harmful ”.
