Awarding of the Medal and a Plaque to Dr. Akinwumi Adesina 

One of the Laureates of the 2019 Sunhak Peace Prize was Dr. Akinwumi A. Adesina.

Dr. Adesina had a vision that in order for Africa to overcome chronic poverty in the 21st century and stand by itself, African countries must transform their agricultural sectors.

With this vision, he has been spearheading agricultural innovation and has improved food security for millions of people throughout the African continent.

Also, thanks to his excellent political leadership and influence, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina has continued to build a bright future for Africa and pioneered major transformations in the agricultural field.

We are excited for Dr. Akinwumi Adesina’s future accomplishments, and his works for peace.
